Sean Coles has built his career shooting at technology's edge. His passion for 3D led him to lens some of the first Phantom stereoscopic high-speed images, as well as both lighting and filming a multicamera 3D concert in Germany's 1700-year-old Trier Cathedral. Sean's projects have been as diverse as the surreal film 7th and Alvarado for Director Rodrigo Garcia, part of the Canana Films picture, Revolucion; capturing in high-speed the glamour of the popular ABC television show, Dancing with the Stars; and shooting underwater in open ocean for the independent film, Beneath The Blue. Sean is also and experienced visual effects cinematographer, having shot elements for Tippet Studios and Sam Raimi's Drag Me To Hell as well as X-Men Origins: Woverine.
As a commercial and music video director Sean Coles has created short-form content for clients like Samsung and Interscope. He has been a panelist at film festivals and conferences, and has taught workshops in digital cinema for the International Cinematographers Guild.
